SRINAGAR, May 16 : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has approved Used Water Management Projects for Baramulla and Rajouri districts aimed at strengthening sanitation infrastructure and addressing wastewater challenges in the Union Territory.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the government has sanctioned ₹37.96 crore for Baramulla and ₹34.43 crore for Rajouri under the initiative.
Officials said the projects are designed to ensure scientific treatment of sewage, prevent pollution of water bodies, and improve overall public health, hygiene and living conditions in both districts.
