The day’s play was marked by confident pursuits, with batters dictating terms across fixtures while bowlers contributed with timely interventions to keep contests balanced.
In the opening match, Nomadic Nyoma registered a five-wicket victory over Sunday Club through a measured chase of 133. The innings was anchored by Chemet Geylik, who remained unbeaten on 80 off 53 deliveries, striking 12 boundaries and two sixes. Nyoma reached the target in 16.4 overs, maintaining control throughout the chase.
Earlier, Sunday Club posted 132 for 9, with Jigmat Gyalson contributing 36 runs. The innings was held in check by disciplined bowling, led by Thinles Tamchos, who returned figures of 4 for 18.
The second fixture saw Ladakh Gladiators produce an aggressive response, chasing down 127 in just 9.5 overs to secure a seven-wicket win over Star Wars. Athar Ali led the charge with an unbeaten 67 off 29 balls, hitting eight fours and five sixes in a display of attacking cricket.
Star Wars had opted to bat first and posted 126 for 7 in their allotted overs, with Mohd Khumbo top-scoring with 48. Mudasir Ahmad delivered an economical spell, claiming two wickets for 20 runs.
The final match of the day developed into a high-scoring contest, with United Spituk successfully chasing 173 to defeat Brothers Harmony by four wickets in 17.4 overs. The chase was driven by Stanzin Jigmet’s 56 and a quick 48 from Tsering Mutup Jr., ensuring the target was reached with composure.
Brothers Harmony earlier scored 172 for 7, with Kundol making 42 and Tashi remaining unbeaten on 36. Despite the competitive total, Stanzin Yurgial’s spell of 4 for 18 proved decisive in restricting further scoring and influencing the course of the innings.
