Leh, Apr 15: NHPC’s Nimoo Bazgo Power Station in Alchi on Tuesday observed the 135th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar with a solemn programme, bringing together employees and officials to pay tribute to his enduring contribution to the nation’s constitutional and social framework.
The event, held at the station premises, saw participants offering floral tributes to Dr Ambedkar’s portrait and reaffirming their commitment to the values of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. The observance underscored the continuing relevance of his vision in shaping an inclusive and equitable society.
Officials of NHPC highlighted Dr Ambedkar’s role as the chief architect of the Constitution and reflected on his lifelong advocacy for social justice and empowerment of marginalised communities. Speakers called upon employees to draw inspiration from his ideas and incorporate those principles into their professional responsibilities.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Sanjai Kumar Rai, Head of Project, whose leadership ensured smooth conduct of the proceedings at Nimoo Bazgo Power Station.
