JERUSALEM, APR 1: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the joint Israel-US war against Iran as “systematically crushing” the regime, claiming “enormous accomplishments” in removing existential threats ahead of Passover.
In a televised Hebrew address, Netanyahu declared Israel “stronger than ever,” forging new regional alliances against Tehran—details to follow soon. “The entire world hears our lion’s roar,” he said, marking one month of the campaign.
He likened successes to Passover’s ten plagues on Iran’s “axis of evil”: blows to Hamas (Gaza), Hezbollah (Lebanon), Assad (Syria), West Bank terrorists, Houthis (Yemen), and Iran—including its nuclear program, missiles, infrastructure, oppression forces, and senior leaders like Khamenei, nuclear scientists, IRGC commanders, Nasrallah, Haniyeh, Deif, and Sinwar.
Iran, he asserted, has squandered nearly $1 trillion on nuclear ambitions, proxies, and sanctions evasion—now “down the drain.” The regime, “weaker than ever,” faces an ongoing campaign destined to topple it, with global leaders now awakened to the threat.
Netanyahu mourned four soldiers killed in Lebanon, noting “painful costs,” and touted US ties under President Trump, who hinted at ending operations after achieving goals via “Rising Lion” (June 2025) and “Roaring Lion.”
Analysts see the speech as priming for a potential US halt without agreement. Opposition leader Yair Lapid slammed it as “arrogant,” accusing Netanyahu of internal divisions via a controversial budget favoring exempt communities and a death penalty bill.
