JAMMU, Dec 30: Traffic movement on the Mughal Road resumed on Tuesday after a temporary closure due to adverse weather conditions, while the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway remained open for vehicular traffic. Officials said the Mughal Road, which connects the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch with south Kashmir, was temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure due to weather-related concerns and fog. Traffic was restored after conditions improved and the road stretch was cleared. Authorities have made necessary arrangements to ensure smooth and safe movement of vehicles on the route. Commuters have been advised to exercise caution while travelling, particularly during early morning and evening hours. Meanwhile, traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway is flowing normally. Officials said the highway remains open for all types of vehicles, though travellers have been advised to remain alert due to foggy conditions on some stretches. Authorities urged motorists to follow traffic advisories, avoid unnecessary travel during adverse weather, and adhere to safety guidelines to prevent accidents.
