Leh, Aug 21: To honour the service and sacrifices of ex-servicemen, a Mega Veterans Rally and Pension Adalat will be organised at the Rinchen Auditorium, Leh, on August 22, 2025. The event, scheduled to begin at 9 AM onwards, aims to address the concerns of veterans and their dependents, ensuring timely redressal of pension and welfare-related issues.
With the theme “Our Veterans, Our Pride”, the rally is expected to witness large participation of ex-servicemen, war widows, and families of defence personnel from across Ladakh.
Key highlights of the event include presence of representatives from Records LSRC, PAO, PCDA, SPARSH, ECHS, AWPO, DIAV, and DRZ, who will address grievances and provide solutions on the spot; a platform for veterans to interact directly with officials handling pensions, ex-servicemen welfare, and other administrative matters; and special focus on resolving long-pending pension issues, extending healthcare facilities under ECHS, and assisting dependents in availing various government welfare schemes.
The Pension Adalat is part of the Indian Army’s ongoing outreach initiative to strengthen its connect with veterans and their families. By bringing all key agencies under one roof, the event is expected to provide immediate relief to many who face challenges in navigating pension and welfare systems.
Over the years, such rallies have not only served as grievance-redressal mechanisms but have also reaffirmed the bond between the Army and its retired fraternity. The event is expected to witness an overwhelming response, with hundreds of veterans from remote parts of Ladakh anticipated to participate.
