This important initiative will enable eligible beneficiaries to avail free surgeries and advanced treatments under the scheme at Mahabodhi Hospital, thereby significantly reducing the financial burden on patients.
Addressing the gathering, Bhikkhu Sanghasena emphasized the importance of accessible and compassionate healthcare, especially in geographically challenging regions like Ladakh. He assured that the hospital would continue to strengthen its services and ensure the availability of specialist doctors throughout the year. He also highlighted the role of such camps in early diagnosis and preventive healthcare.
The medical camp is offering a wide range of specialized services, including gynecology, ophthalmology, general medicine, ENT, dental surgery, radiology, and general surgery.
On the very first day, more than 200 patients benefited from consultations, diagnostic services, and treatments provided by expert doctors. In addition, free medicines were distributed to all patients, with support from 153 General Hospital and Khamsday Jabstok Welfare Society, ensuring that beneficiaries received complete care without any financial constraints.
The camp, scheduled from April 3 to April 5, also integrates a holistic approach to healthcare by combining modern allopathic treatment with yoga and meditation practices, aligning with the philosophy of overall physical and mental well-being promoted by the organizers.
