Leh, Apr 26: Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena visited Jivetsal, the main venue of the upcoming Sacred Exposition of the Holy Relics of the Tathagata Buddha, and took stock of preparedness for the grand spiritual celebration scheduled from May 1 to 14.
The LG conducted a comprehensive review of security and logistical arrangements and directed concerned officials to ensure that every aspect of the preparation is carried out with utmost care and precision. He emphasised efficient crowd management, public amenities, medical facilities, and public transport so that devotees and the general public experience a smooth, dignified, and hassle‑free veneration during the exposition. Special attention will be given to facilitating senior citizens and persons with disabilities throughout the event.
A fully operational control and command centre will monitor security, traffic movement, and logistics at the venue in real time. The LG noted that the Sacred Exposition holds profound spiritual significance and said the administration is committed to making it a memorable and culturally rich experience for all.
