Jammu, Jan 2: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday unveiled the Panchang Calendar 2026 and the official diary of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) at Lok Bhavan.
Curated under the guidance of eminent scholars and priests, the Panchang serves as a spiritual companion for devotees, detailing auspicious dates, festivals, and religious observances for the year 2026.
Commending the Shrine Board’s efforts, the Lieutenant Governor said the initiative blends tradition with modern relevance and reinforces the spiritual bond of devotees across the world. He praised SMVDSB for its commitment to service, community welfare, and environmental sustainability.
SMVDSB CEO Sachin Kumar Vaishya said the calendar highlights several key initiatives of the Board, including the Green Trikuta Hills environmental campaign, Swachhata Abhiyan along the pilgrimage route, and provision of free Langar Sewa for pilgrims. The Shrine Board has also dedicated five temples in Reasi district to the public, further enriching the region’s spiritual landscape.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari, Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor; Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu; Mohammad Aijaz Asad, Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj; and senior officers of the Shrine Board.
