During the meeting, Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta greeted Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) on his birthday and extended his warm wishes for his good health and a long life.

He also acknowledged the commendable efforts and dedicated service of Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) during his tenure as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.

He appreciated the groundwork laid by the former LG in strengthening governance, promoting development, and upholding the region’s unique cultural and environmental ethos.

Both leaders shared insights on key administrative priorities and the way forward for Ladakh’s holistic progress.

Kavinder Gupta expressed his gratitude for the valuable contributions of Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) and sought his continued guidance and support in the service of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Earlier on Saturday evening, a delegation comprising senior members and former block presidents of the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) had called on the Lt Governor Kavinder Gupta in Leh.

The delegation raised several pressing concerns, most notably seeking the LG’s intervention in the official declaration of five newly proposed districts in Ladakh.

The Lt. Governor gave the delegation a patient hearing and assured them that the matter would be looked into with due seriousness, promising to explore viable administrative solutions.

The meeting marks a strong start to Kavinder Gupta’s tenure as Lt Governor, indicating a proactive approach in both administrative planning and public engagement.

Meanwhile, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kargil, Spalzes Angmo, paid a courtesy visit to the Lt Governor at Secretariat Leh.
