Jammu, Dec 18: Lt Governor Manoj Sinha declared that all security achievements in Jammu and Kashmir since 2019 must be safeguarded, insisting every terrorist and their supporters in valleys, forests, hills, or villages be eliminated.
At the inaugural UT-level security conference at IIT Jammu—modeled on national DGP/IGP meets—Sinha called for unified action against terrorists, overground workers (OGWs), enablers, and ideologues to dismantle terror ecosystems and safe havens.
Sinha highlighted strengthened security grids through J&K Police, Army, intelligence, and CAPFs, yielding sharp drops in violence, active militants, and recruitment over six years. He stressed treating armed terrorists and citizen-intimidators alike, ensuring they face severe consequences.
