SAMBA, May 6: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday visited Regal village along the border in Samba district and laid the foundation stone for several development projects aimed at boosting infrastructure and enhancing public facilities in the area.
During his visit, the Lieutenant Governor emphasised the growing importance of border villages, stating that they should no longer be viewed as the “last villages” of the country but as the “First Villages” of India.
“Our border villages are not the last villages of India anymore; they are the First Villages, and we are dedicated to their overall development,” Sinha said.
He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to the holistic development of border regions, focusing on better infrastructure, improved connectivity, public amenities and livelihood opportunities to raise the standard of living for residents living near the borders.
