Leh, Apr 15: With less than 48 hours remaining for the Rozgar Mela, the Leh district administration conducted a detailed review of preparations, with Romil Singh Donk directing officials to ensure that all logistical arrangements are completed within the stipulated timeframe.
The employment fair is scheduled to take place on April 16 at the Central Institute of Buddhist Studies and is expected to witness participation from various departments as well as job seekers from across the district. Chairing the meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Donk emphasised the need for precision and coordination, instructing departments to adhere strictly to assigned responsibilities.
Key arrangements reviewed during the meeting included the distribution of invitation cards, provision of refreshments, installation of a dependable public address system, and other essential logistical requirements. Officials were instructed to maintain close coordination among departments to prevent any last-minute disruptions.
Among those present were Mohd Taqi, along with the Superintending Engineer of the Power Development Department, the District Informatics Officer, and other senior district officials. Responsibilities were clearly delineated, reflecting a structured and methodical administrative approach.
Administrative sources indicated that the employment fair forms part of ongoing efforts to facilitate access to job opportunities in Leh, where livelihood prospects are often influenced by seasonal factors and public sector initiatives. The review underscored the administration’s intent to ensure a well-organised and efficiently conducted event.
Officials said the Deputy Commissioner conveyed a firm message on accountability, making it clear that any lapse in preparedness would invite scrutiny. As the event draws closer, the focus now shifts to translating planning into seamless execution on the ground.
