Kargil, Jun 17: The Union Territory Administration of Ladakh has issued a preliminary notification for acquiring 3 Kanal and 1 Marla of land in Village Garkone, Kargil district. The land is required for the construction of a link road from Yaldore to Garkone under public purpose.
According to the District Collector’s office, the acquisition includes private rural land, with some structures and trees present. No government land was found suitable for the project. The administration confirms no resettlement or environmental impact will occur.
This acquisition falls under Section 11(1) of the Land Acquisition Act, 2013.
