Jammu, Feb 15: Lt Governor of Ladakh Kavinder Gupta addressed the 27th Annual Day Function of the All Ladakh Students Welfare Association Jammu, praising the organization’s pivotal role since 2015 in guiding Ladakhi students from Leh and Kargil districts toward academic success, cultural unity, and effective advocacy with authorities.
Describing the association as more than an organization but a “reflection of the determination, discipline and dreams” of Ladakhi youth, Gupta emphasized student life as the foundation of nation-building. “It shapes character, instils discipline and nurtures responsibility toward society and nation,” he said, urging organized youth to drive societal transformation as the “first laboratory” preparing India’s future.
Gupta reassured students that today’s India offers boundless opportunities in the AI era. “Technology expands possibilities—human creativity, leadership and sensitivity remain irreplaceable,” he noted, encouraging exploration of startups, self-employment, and skill-based careers over traditional job-seeking. Aligning with PM Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat@2047 vision, he declared self-reliant youth as the bedrock of a strong nation—both its present force and future promise.
Highlighting Ladakh’s unique identity, the Lt Governor called for preserving language, culture, and roots while embracing “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.” He assured the administration’s commitment to addressing student concerns with priority and felicitated association executives for their dedicated service.
Association President Muzaffar Ali outlined key initiatives, while cultural performances by Balti, Shina, Yaseen groups and a Ladakhi song celebrated “Unity in Diversity – Spirit of Ladakh.” Special guests Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan and Raj Kumar attended; the event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sabrina Aamir.
