UoL engages in Int’l Tourism Talks at IJCHT-25 Thailand
Songkhla/Leh, Jul 04: The University of Ladakh made a strong impression on the global academic scene by participating in the 5th International Joint Conference on Hospitality and Tourism (IJCHT-25), held from July 3 to 5, 2025, in Songkhla, Thailand. The conference gathered a diverse group of scholars, tourism professionals, and policy experts under the theme “Convergence of Tourism, Hospitality, and MICE in Action,” offering a rich platform for exchanging knowledge and exploring global trends.
Leading the University’s delegation were Prof. Saket Kushwaha, Vice Chancellor, and Mr. Nawang Tundup, Registrar. Their presence highlighted the institution’s dedication to expanding its academic and research engagements beyond national borders. They took part in high-level discussions focused on topics such as eco-friendly tourism models, advances in digital travel solutions, and the evolving influence of MICE activities on local economies.
The event opened doors for the University of Ladakh to explore new academic connections, including possibilities for faculty collaboration, research partnerships, and student exchange programs with international universities and institutes.
