Jammu, Dec 25: Shiv Sena Hindustan on Thursday called for the immediate deportation of illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya immigrants, alleging that their presence poses a serious threat to national security and social harmony.
Addressing a press conference in Jammu, the party’s Jammu and Kashmir President, Pandit Rajesh Kesri, strongly condemned the reported persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh and urged the Union Government to intervene at the diplomatic level.
Kesri said the continuing violence against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh was a matter of grave concern and required urgent international attention. He maintained that India must take a firm position against regimes that fail to protect religious minorities and allow extremist forces to operate freely.
The Shiv Sena Hindustan leader further alleged that illegal immigrants from Bangladesh and Rohingya settlements were involved in activities that threaten India’s internal security and cultural fabric. He demanded strict action to identify, detain and deport those residing in the country unlawfully, while also calling for stronger border control to prevent further infiltration.
Senior party members, including Rajkumar Baba, Sanjeev Sharma and Ajay Kumar, were present during the press briefing.
Kesri also appealed to the international community to take note of the situation in Bangladesh and press its government to ensure safety and justice for minority communities. He suggested that global pressure, including restrictions on financial assistance, should be considered against nations accused of shielding extremist elements.
The party reiterated its demand for decisive steps by the Government of India to address the situation in Bangladesh and to deal firmly with illegal immigration, stating that any delay could have long-term consequences for national security.
