UDHAMPUR, JULY 4: A Head Constable of the Jammu and Kashmir Police died after collapsing during a training session at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) in Udhampur on Saturday, officials said.
According to officials, the policeman suddenly fell unconscious while undergoing training and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
The deceased has been identified as Head Constable Bashir Anjum, a resident of Gursai in the Mendhar area of Poonch district. He was undergoing a training programme at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy at the time of the incident.
Police have taken cognisance of the matter and are verifying the exact cause of death. Further investigation is underway.
