Jammu, Apr 27 : Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday visited the Government Medical College hospital in Udhampur to enquire about the well-being of those who sustained injuries in the recent road accident in the hilly district, a Lok Bhavan spokesperson said.
At least 21 people were killed and 51 others injured when an overcrowded passenger bus plunged nearly 100 metres down a hillside in Ramnagar area of Udhampur on April 20.
The Lt Governor was briefed by a team of senior doctors on the health condition of the injured, the spokesperson said.
He directed the hospital administration to ensure the best possible medical care for their early recovery.
