Samba, Apr 22: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated Eveready Industries India Limited’s new plant in Samba today, with a ₹200 crore investment set to generate local jobs, boost ancillary units, empower women and youth, and fuel J&K’s economic growth.
“Inauguration of Eveready’s plant, along with the changed atmosphere in UT, reflects sustained efforts of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, under whose leadership a new destiny has been written for J&K. His vision has turned the dream of a prosperous J&K into reality,” Sinha stated.
The facility aligns with J&K’s industrial push, building on plans for India’s first alkaline battery plant in Jammu by Eveready.
