J&K Govt Sets Up Panel to Review Lecturer Cadre Strength in School Education Department

Jammu, Jul 16: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a high-level committee to review the discipline-wise cadre strength of Lecturers in the School Education Department and recommend measures to align staffing with current academic and institutional requirements.

According to an official order, the committee will be headed by the Director, School Education, Jammu.

The panel has been tasked with verifying the exact number of sanctioned lecturer posts across various disciplines and assessing the actual subject-wise requirement of lecturers based on the needs of educational institutions.

It will also recommend the rationalisation of existing posts in line with emerging academic priorities and technological advancements in the education sector.

In addition, the committee will review the requirement of language teachers while taking regional needs into consideration and identify posts required for vocational subjects to strengthen skill-based education in schools.

The Government has directed the committee to submit its report, along with specific recommendations, within 30 days from the date of issuance of the order.
