Jammu Dec 17: Jammu and Kashmir government formed a high-level committee on Wednesday to investigate the selection process for the J&K football team’s entry into the 79th Santosh Trophy National Championship 2025.
Under Government Order No. 50-JK(YSS) of 2025, Director General of Youth Services and Sports Anuradha Gupta will lead the panel, joined by senior officials and sports experts, with authority to include two former national footballers from Jammu and Kashmir regions.
The team must conduct a thorough review of the entire procedure and deliver recommendations within seven days, focusing on factual verification in a time-bound inquiry.
To ensure transparency, the government invited public participation, allowing citizens to submit comments during scheduled meetings in Jammu and Srinagar over three days each.
