LUCKNOW JAN 18 : An IndiGo flight from Delhi to Bagdogra, West Bengal, landed emergently at Lucknow airport on Sunday morning due to a bomb threat.
IndiGo flight 6E-6650, carrying 222 passengers including eight infants, two pilots, and five crew members, was diverted after Air Traffic Control received a threat alert at 8:46 a.m. The plane safely touched down at 9:17 a.m. and was isolated in a bay.
Security teams discovered a handwritten note on tissue paper reading “Plane mein bomb” (bomb in the plane) during initial checks. All passengers and crew were safely evacuated, and bomb disposal squads along with agencies conducted a thorough search.
Police confirmed the situation is under control, with investigations and legal action ongoing. No further threats were reported.
