Lucknow, October 25: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, saying India was progressing with democratic stability, economic growth and cultural awareness at a time when several parts of the world were facing violence and instability.
In a post on X ahead of Modi’s visit to Varanasi for an Indian Air Force aerial display, Adityanath said India had strengthened its position on the global economic stage under the Prime Minister’s leadership.
He described India as one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies, highlighting its progress in self-reliance, innovation and development.
Adityanath said the government’s focus on putting the nation first had strengthened democratic institutions, placed ordinary citizens at the centre of policymaking and prioritised the welfare of the poor. He also highlighted the role of public participation in advancing development initiatives.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister accused certain political forces of attempting to create instability and division for their own interests, alleging that such actions could damage India’s image internationally.
He asserted that the country remained committed to achieving its development goals despite these challenges. Highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s contribution, he said the state was accelerating growth in agriculture, manufacturing, investment and employment generation.
In a separate post, Adityanath welcomed Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Varanasi for the ‘Wings Over Ganga’ air show, organised to mark the 94th anniversary of the Indian Air Force.
He said the event would showcase the valour and capabilities of the Air Force while celebrating India’s defence strength and cultural heritage.
The three-day aerial display at Namo Ghat features aircraft such as the Tejas, Rafale and Sukhoi Su-30MKI, alongside performances by the Surya Kiran aerobatic team and the Sarang helicopter display team.
During the visit, Modi is also scheduled to inaugurate a new garment manufacturing facility of Arvind Limited, an initiative expected to support textile industry growth and industrial development in the region.
