Nubra, Apr 9: A wide array of government services was brought directly to residents of Hunderi village in Nubra subdivision as part of the “Jung sJabs” outreach programme conducted under the Administration at Doorstep initiative on Tuesday.
Chaired by Sub Divisional Magistrate Nubra, Shri Jigmet Raftan (JKAS), the programme sought to streamline access to welfare schemes while reinforcing last-mile delivery in remote areas of the region.
The camp offered an integrated platform for availing essential services, including Aadhaar registration and the issuance of Resident, Scheduled Tribe and domicile certificates. Residents were also assisted in generating ABHA and APAAR identification numbers, enrolling under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), and registering for PM-KISAN benefits. Facilitation of Kisan Credit Cards formed another key component of the exercise, alongside the distribution of essential medicines.
Officials from various departments were present at the site, coordinating efforts to ensure on-the-spot processing of applications and immediate service delivery. The initiative reduced procedural delays and eliminated the need for villagers to travel to administrative centres.
The programme witnessed a steady turnout, with residents from Hunderi and adjoining areas making use of the services provided. The administration noted that such outreach camps continue to play a vital role in improving awareness and uptake of government schemes in geographically distant settlements.
Conceived as part of a broader governance strategy, the Administration at Doorstep initiative aims to enhance accessibility, improve service delivery mechanisms, and strengthen engagement between officials and citizens across the Nubra subdivision.
