Nyoma, Apr 9: In a continued effort to deepen administrative outreach in remote regions, the “Jung sJabs” programme under the Administrative at Doorstep initiative was conducted at Teri village in the Nyoma subdivision on Wednesday.
The outreach camp was chaired by Tashi Chhostak, Naib Tehsildar of Niabat Chumathang, and focused on improving access to government welfare schemes while promoting awareness among residents at the grassroots level.
Officials representing multiple departments participated in the programme, offering on-the-spot services and guidance to villagers. The camp was designed to bridge gaps between the administration and residents in far-flung areas by facilitating direct interaction and service delivery.
Residents of Teri village turned up in considerable numbers and engaged with officials on a range of issues, benefiting from both service access and information dissemination. The initiative also served as a platform for clarifying procedures related to various welfare schemes and addressing local concerns.
The “Jung sJabs” programme forms part of a broader administrative effort to ensure that public services reach underserved populations in remote areas of Ladakh. By taking governance to the doorstep, the initiative seeks to reduce logistical barriers and enhance transparency in service delivery.
Officials indicated that such outreach camps will continue to be organised across the subdivision to sustain engagement with local communities and improve the reach of government programmes.
