Leh, Apr 24: In a continued push to deepen grassroots governance in remote Changthang, the Administration on Wednesday conducted a multi-department outreach camp at Nyoma village under the “Jung sJabs” programme, facilitating direct access to welfare schemes and essential public services.
The camp, held under the Administrative at Doorstep initiative, was chaired by Tehsildar Nyoma Sub-Division, Feroz Ahmed Naib Khan, and brought together officials from various departments to deliver services on-site and engage with residents on issues related to welfare entitlements.
Designed to bridge the gap between administration and citizens in far-flung areas, the programme focused on raising awareness about government schemes while enabling immediate redressal of public grievances. Officials provided guidance, processed requests, and addressed queries, ensuring that services reached beneficiaries without procedural delays.
The camp witnessed active participation from villagers, many of whom availed services and sought clarity on available schemes. The interactive setting allowed residents to directly communicate their concerns, contributing to quicker resolution and improved administrative responsiveness.
The “Jung sJabs” initiative forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen last-mile delivery of governance in Ladakh’s remote regions. By taking administrative machinery to the doorstep of citizens, the programme aims to streamline service delivery and foster greater public engagement with government institutions.
