Leh, Apr 1: A government outreach initiative under the “Jung sJabs” programme was conducted in Tarchid village of Nyoma subdivision on Tuesday, with officials providing a range of public services and disseminating information on welfare schemes to local residents.
The programme, held under the Administrative at Doorstep initiative, was chaired by Naib Tehsildar of Niabat Chumathang, Tashi Chhostak. It focused on improving access to government services in remote areas while strengthening awareness of welfare measures among the rural population.
During the camp, residents availed themselves of services including Aadhaar registration and issuance of Revenue Certificates. Officials also completed one land ownership registration as part of the exercise, aimed at facilitating documentation and easing administrative procedures at the village level.
Representatives from multiple departments participated in the camp, offering on-the-spot assistance and guidance to villagers on various government schemes and services. The coordinated effort sought to address public concerns and bridge gaps in service delivery in the region.
The programme saw active participation from local residents, who turned up to access services and obtain information about available welfare initiatives. Officials said such outreach efforts are intended to bring governance closer to people living in remote areas and ensure that benefits of government programmes reach the grassroots effectively.
