Kargil, Sept 12: Residents of Tambis turned out in strong numbers as the “Jan Hit Camp” brought government officials face-to-face with the public, offering information on welfare schemes, employment opportunities, and socio-economic support programs.
The programme was attended by Councillor GM Pore, Syed Ali, and SDM Sankoo, Dr. Sarwar Shahzad, who underscored the importance of connecting citizens with government initiatives. Officials from multiple departments engaged directly with the audience, providing guidance on accessing ongoing schemes and services aimed at improving livelihoods.
Around ninety participants attended the camp, asking questions and receiving tailored information to help them navigate the benefits available to them. The interactive session allowed beneficiaries to gain clarity on various government measures designed to support communities at the grassroots level.
Organizers confirmed that similar camps will be held at Tiket and Bhimbhat, Drass on September 13, ensuring wider awareness and outreach. Additionally, an Aadhar generation camp for children aged 0-6 was conducted at Bhimbet, Drass, complementing the Jan Hit Camp’s focus on inclusive development.
Officials expressed confidence that these initiatives would strengthen public engagement, improve access to government services, and create a more informed community ready to utilize available opportunities.
