Jammu, Oct 22: Amid heightened vigilance along the Line of Control (LoC), White Knight Corps Commander Lieutenant General P K Mishra on Wednesday visited forward areas in the Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir to assess the operational preparedness and prevailing security situation in the sector.
During his visit, the General Officer Commanding (GoC) interacted with troops deployed in the region and lauded their professionalism, composure, and unwavering dedication while performing duties under challenging conditions.
According to a statement issued by the White Knight Corps, “GoC White Knight Corps, together with GoC Ace of Spades Division, visited forward posts in the Krishna Ghati (Poonch) and Naushera (Rajouri) sectors to review the operational preparedness and assess the security dynamics along the LoC.”
Lt Gen Mishra commended the troops for maintaining a high state of alertness and operational discipline, stressing that their efforts have been instrumental in maintaining peace and thwarting infiltration attempts across the border. He exhorted all ranks to continue upholding the highest standards of readiness and offensive orientation to ensure the sanctity of the nation’s frontiers.
The visit reflects the Army’s continued focus on strengthening its defensive posture and operational synergy in the strategically sensitive Rajouri-Poonch sector, which has witnessed multiple instances of infiltration and ceasefire violations in the recent past.
The White Knight Corps commander also reviewed the deployment patterns, logistical support, and coordination between various forward units to ensure seamless communication and rapid response capabilities in case of any untoward situation along the LoC. Senior Army officials briefed him on the latest counter-infiltration measures, surveillance systems, and the enhanced use of technology in monitoring hostile movements across the border.
The visit reinforced the Army’s proactive approach towards maintaining stability and operational dominance in the region. Lt Gen Mishra expressed confidence in the morale and preparedness of the troops, reiterating the Army’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security and territorial integrity.
