DRASS: Government Degree College Drass organised a programme on “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and the Unity of India”, highlighting the contribution of the country’s first Deputy Prime Minister towards national integration and institution-building.

The proceedings were conducted by Archo Fatima Nissa, who spoke about the importance of national unity and the role played by Sardar Patel in shaping modern India after Independence.
A detailed lecture was delivered by Haseena Khan, who discussed Patel’s leadership in integrating princely states and consolidating the territorial framework of the country.
She underlined the continuing relevance of his vision in promoting harmony, integrity and social cohesion, and urged students to uphold constitutional values and contribute positively towards society.
The programme also featured an address by Latefa Banoo, who highlighted the role of youth in preserving the spirit of national unity and participatory nation-building.
