JAMMU, JUN 26 : The District Administration Ramban has issued a public advisory informing residents that the gates of the Dulhasti Power Station dam in Kishtwar will remain open from 11:00 PM on June 27 to 8:00 PM on June 28, 2026, to facilitate periodic silt flushing operations.
The advisory, issued on the directions of District Magistrate Ramban Alyas Khan, urges the general public to stay away from the river and downstream areas during the operation as water levels and flow may rise suddenly due to the release from the reservoir.
Residents living along the riverbanks have been advised to exercise caution and avoid venturing near the affected areas until the flushing process is completed.
