Leh, Apr 21: In a smooth transition of leadership at SNM Hospital Leh, Dr Rinchen Chosdol on Monday formally handed over the charge of Medical Superintendent to Dr Yangchen Dolma after serving in the role for over two years.
Dr Chosdol, who steered the institution through a phase of steady functioning, has been credited by the hospital administration for her consistent engagement and oversight in maintaining healthcare services in the region. Officials noted that her tenure reflected administrative continuity and responsiveness to local medical needs.
She has now been appointed as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Leh, a position that entails wider supervisory responsibilities over public health services across the district.
Dr Yangchen Dolma, who assumes charge as the new Medical Superintendent, was received by the hospital staff and management with formal greetings. The administration expressed optimism that her leadership would further strengthen institutional processes and patient care services at the hospital.
The handover was conducted in an orderly manner within the hospital premises, underscoring a seamless transfer of responsibilities. The transition comes at a time when healthcare institutions in Ladakh are navigating increasing service demands, placing renewed emphasis on administrative stability and efficient delivery systems.
