Shimla, Apr 26: Policing during high-profile visits demands the highest standards of professionalism, precision, and accountability, said Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Tiwari while briefing the police force deployed here on Saturday ahead of the proposed visit of President Droupadi Murmu to Himachal Pradesh.
The President is scheduled to visit the state from April 27 to May 2. She is likely to visit Shimla, Kangra and Lahaul and Spiti districts.
The DGP emphasised unwavering duty, vigilance and integrity and stressed that every police personnel must perform their duties with absolute honesty, alertness, and a sense of service, keeping public safety as the foremost priority.
He further directed officers to remain mission-focused, proactive, and prepared for all contingencies, a statement issued here said.
Instructions were issued regarding ensuring seamless coordination and real-time communication among all security and field units and adopting a strict “Zero Error” approach, with no scope for negligence or complacency.
The top officials stressed enforcing all security protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) meticulously and maintaining courteous, responsive, and people-friendly conduct with citizens and visitors.
Senior officers, including the Superintendent of Police, Shimla, and the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Southern Range, issued detailed operational guidelines to all officers and personnel.
The Superintendent of Police, Shimla Gaurav Singh, instructed all personnel to thoroughly understand their assigned roles, conduct advance planning and ensure readiness to effectively respond to any situation.
