BUDGAM, Feb 25: In a high-stakes security huddle, J&K Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat on Wednesday reviewed Budgam’s volatile landscape and directed intensified, intelligence-driven operations to dismantle terror ecosystems, overground workers, and Pakistani-backed militants.
Chaired by Prabhat at a comprehensive district review meeting—joined by Special DGP S.J.M. Geelani (Coordination), IGP Kashmir V.K. Birdi, DIG Central Range Rajeev Pandey, SSP Budgam Nikhil Borkar, and ranks down to SHOs—SSP Borkar detailed counter-terror ops, law-order management, anti-crime/drug measures, area domination, and overall security matrix.
Prabhat drilled down on kinetic/non-kinetic strategies, urging “actionable intelligence” from field units and “sustained operational tempo.”
He mandated “non-traditional, non-conformist modern tactics” to neutralize Pakistani terrorists, sharpen focus on support networks, and fortify the security grid via sister-agency synergy, OGW surveillance, and relentless area control.
Stressing community policing to engage peace-loving citizens, bridge police-public gaps, and preempt miscreants, the DGP vowed zero tolerance for separatist sympathizers. Budgam—flashpoint for hybrid threats—now braces for escalated ops amid J&K’s stabilizing arc.
