Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the longest‑serving head of a government in India, after he completed 8,931 days in public office as head of government, surpassing the previous record of 8,930 days held by former Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling.
In a post on X, Singh said, “Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi is now the longest‑serving head of a government in India.
