Kargil, Jun 20: In his first official interaction since assuming office, Rakesh Kumar, the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner and CEO of LAHDC Kargil, convened an introductory meeting today with sectoral heads and district officers at the Conference Hall, Baroo.
Addressing the administrative leadership of the district, DC Kumar called for unwavering dedication and a focused approach in delivering government services to the people of Kargil. He laid strong emphasis on timely execution of development projects, urging officers to align their work with established timelines to ensure steady progress across the district.
Kumar also underlined the importance of effective implementation of government schemes, stressing that officers must translate policies into on-ground realities with efficiency and purpose. Responsiveness and accessibility to public concerns formed a major part of his address, as he encouraged officers to adopt a proactive and solution-oriented mindset when dealing with public grievances.
“Timely decisions and quick grievance redressal are essential to earn the trust of the people,” Kumar remarked, adding that punctuality and internal discipline would play a pivotal role in improving public service delivery.
The meeting saw the participation of senior officials, including JD Finance/CCF Kargil, JD Planning, Assistant Commissioners of Development and Revenue, Superintending Engineers from R&B and Hydrolics, along with other departmental heads.
