RAMBAN: The 84 Bn CRPF, under the aegis of Jammu Sector CRPF, organized a free Medical Camp at the remote Karma village, Ramban J&K on Tuesday.
The camp was inaugurated by N Ranbir Singh Commandant, in the presence of Vikram Singh Second in Command, Arvind Kumar Dixit Second in Command, Roop Ram Meena Asstt Cdt. The event was also attended by Uttam Chand Sarpanch and other prominent villagers.
While addressing the gathering, the Commandant stated that CRPF, the largest paramilitary Force, has played an instrumental role in nation-building and safeguarding the unity and integrity of the country. He also highlighted the various civic action and social outreach programmes undertaken by CRPF across the nation to strengthen the bond between the Force and the local populace. The free medical camp was organized with the objective to provide healthcare to the needy villagers of the remote area.
The medical camp was attended by more than 300 villagers, including elderly persons, women, and children from Karma and surrounding areas.
The services of Dr Anu Gorke SMO/DC, 84 Bn and Dr Biranmol Singh AC/MO, 84 Bn ensured the successful conduct of the camp. Free treatement, medical tests like ECG, Blood, Sugar, etc and medicines were provided to all the beneficiaries during the camp. A free First Aid Kit box, along with basic medicines, was handed over to the Sarpanch and village health worker. The Sarpanch and villagers thanked 84 Bn CRPF for organizing the first ever Free Medical Camp in their remote village.
