Kargil, Mar 19 The New District Court Complex in Kargil is set to be inaugurated by the Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant, marking an important moment for the judicial infrastructure in the district, with preparations now entering the final stage.
In anticipation of the high-profile visit, a detailed review meeting was convened on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kargil, Sheikh Gowher Hussain, to assess the readiness of various departments and ensure seamless coordination for the ceremony.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Rakesh Kumar; Senior Superintendent of Police, Nitin Yadav; Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tsewang Phuntsog; Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Chemit Yurgyal; Munsiff Sankoo, Sadiq Ali Wazir, along with other district officers.
Deliberations focused on synchronising administrative and logistical arrangements in view of the presence of senior judicial functionaries. The Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, along with other dignitaries, is also expected to be present on the occasion.
Officials reviewed aspects related to venue management, security deployment, protocol adherence and overall coordination among departments. The chair underscored the importance of meticulous planning to ensure that the event is conducted smoothly and in accordance with established procedures.
All departments were directed to complete their respective responsibilities within the stipulated timeframe and maintain close coordination to avoid any lapses during the programme.
The meeting concluded with a collective assurance from all stakeholders to uphold the dignity of the occasion and ensure that the inauguration ceremony is conducted in a well-organised and orderly manner, befitting the stature of the visiting dignitaries.
