Reasi, October 9: A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel died on Friday after sustaining a gunshot wound while on duty in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Mushtaq, a resident of Mari village in Reasi district.
According to officials, Mushtaq sustained a gunshot injury and was immediately shifted to District Hospital Reasi for medical treatment. However, he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Following the incident, an investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the gunshot wound.
