New Delhi Apr 9 : The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) successfully conducted the Annual Anti‑Hijacking Mock Exercise–2026 at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, Delhi, on 6 April 2026, under the supervision of DIG/CASO ASG Delhi, Shri Babu Ram, along with other senior officers. The exercise involved activation of designated emergency centres and a realistic scenario as per the established contingency plan, simulating an aircraft hijack situation.
Key stakeholders including NSG, Delhi Police, Intelligence Bureau, BCAS, DGCA, DIAL, ARFF, medical teams, and airlines participated in a coordinated response, while CISF’s Quick Reaction Team (QRT), Bomb Disposal & Detection Squad (BDDS), and Dog Squad showcased prompt and synchronized action. The drill reinforced robust inter‑agency synergy and underscored the preparedness of aviation security forces to counter evolving threats at India’s busiest airport.
