NEW DELHI DEC 30 : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has rescheduled one examination each for Class 10 and Class 12 that were originally set for March 3, 2026, citing administrative reasons. In an official circular issued on December 29, 2025, Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, informed all affiliated schools about the datesheet changes. All other board examination dates remain unchanged.
The Class 10 examination scheduled on March 3 will now be held on March 11, 2026. For Class 12 students, the examination has been postponed by over a month and will now take place on April 10, 2026. The revised dates will be reflected in admit cards when issued, and schools have been directed to update their internal datesheets accordingly.
For Class 12, the Legal Studies paper originally scheduled for March 3 will now be conducted on April 10, 2026. For Class 10, multiple language and elective papers scheduled on March 3 have been shifted to March 11, including:

The CBSE Board Exams 2026 will commence on February 17, 2026, for both classes. Class 10 examinations will run from February 17 to March 11, 2026, while Class 12 exams will be conducted from February 17 to April 10, 2026. On the opening day, Class 10 students will take Mathematics (Standard and Basic), while Class 12 students will appear for Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, and Shorthand.
Schools have been instructed to immediately inform students and parents about the revised schedule to avoid confusion during exam preparation. Students are advised to note the new dates carefully and continue preparing as per the original datesheet for all other subjects. CBSE has appreciated the cooperation of schools, students, and parents in ensuring smooth conduct of the examinations.
