JAMMU: Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch (BTSM) celebrated its 28th Foundation Day in Jammu Tuesday. On this occasion, BTSM activists cut a cake and pledged to work wholeheartedly for the organisation’s cause.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Vivek Sharma, State President of BTSM (Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh), said that when the forum was established in Dharamshala on May 5, 1999, the idea of Tibet’s independence seemed unimaginable.
At that time, even speaking about Tibet’s independence appeared impossible. However, today, he expressed pride in stating that the demand for Tibet’s independence has spread worldwide, originating from Dharamshala.
He added that the issue of Tibet is now being heard across the globe, and Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch has played a significant role in raising this awareness.
He further stated that the journey of 28 years is, in itself, a remarkable achievement. He emphasized that members of the forum should understand that Tibet was never a part of China, and China has never been a natural friend of India.
He also outlined BTSM’s plans to further spread awareness about Tibet and reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to the Tibetan cause.
In conclusion, he reiterated that Tibet was once an independent country and has never been a part of China. He expressed confidence that a day will come when Tibet and Kailash Mansarovar will be liberated through the efforts of Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch, which will also strengthen India’s security.
Rajinder Sadotra, General Secretary, stated that BTSM’s 28-year journey has been highly positive. He expressed confidence that Tibet and Kailash Mansarovar will one day be liberated through the organisation’s efforts, thereby enhancing India’s security.
He also noted that the organisation is functioning effectively across the country under the guidance of Indresh Kumar, Senior RSS Pracharak and Margdarshak of BTSM.
Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Vice President of BTSM (JKUT), stated that the mission that began in Dharamshala under the guidance of Indresh will continue to grow stronger. He added that the campaign will be intensified both in India and abroad.
Efforts for Tibet’s independence and the liberation of Kailash Mansarovar will be expanded by forming local units and conducting door-to-door outreach to connect directly with people.
Among those present on the occasion were Sardar Ramneek Singh, Dr. Nitan Sharma, Danish magotra, Ruchika Sharma, and others.
