JAMMU, Dec 4: Bharatiya Janata Party leadership intensified efforts to safeguard displaced Kashmiri Pandit heritage by directly engaging Kashmir Valley Deputy Commissioners, demanding urgent clearance of illegal encroachments on community properties and temple lands, amid mounting unresolved grievances.

BJP’s Kashmir Displaced District (KDD), under president Rajeev Pandita, conducted high-level deliberations with DCs of Srinagar, Anantnag, Pulwama, plus senior revenue officials from Kupwara and Baramulla. These sessions zeroed in on long-pending complaints from exiled Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) whose homes and sacred sites face systematic occupation across districts.
Dual Focus: Property Retrieval & Community Welfare
Pandita emphasized fulfilling commitments to applicants by prioritizing eviction drives on KP-owned lands and temple precincts. Discussions extended to welfare safeguards for PM Package employees and non-migrated KPs still residing in the Valley, addressing both asset protection and personal security.

Hailing the outreach as a “pivotal advancement,” Pandita vowed relentless administrative follow-up until full restoration of seized properties and ironclad community safety.
