Bodh Gaya/Leh: H.H. Sitagu Sayadaw was accorded a warm reception at Gaya International Airport on Tuesday as he arrived to extend blessings and spiritual guidance during the forthcoming International Tripitaka Chanting Ceremony.
Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena, President of the International Tripitaka Chanting Council, together with Wangmo Dixey, Executive Director of the Light of Buddhadharma Foundation International, and members of the Sangha, received the revered Buddhist leader upon his arrival.
The visit of H.H. Sitagu Sayadaw is viewed as a profound honor for the global Buddhist community assembling at Bodh Gaya, the sacred land associated with the Enlightenment of the Buddha. His participation is expected to uplift the devotional atmosphere and reinforce the collective commitment to safeguarding the Buddha’s teachings.
H.H. Sitagu Sayadaw will deliver the opening address at the inaugural session of the 20th International Tripitaka Chanting Ceremony, scheduled to begin on 2 December 2025 at the Mahabodhi Sacred Ground.
The annual chanting gathering draws monks, scholars, and devotees from various countries to jointly recite the Tripitaka, thereby strengthening unity, harmony, and the enduring continuity of the Dhamma.
The Organizing Committee conveyed heartfelt appreciation for his visit and extended a formal welcome on behalf of all participants and well-wishers preparing for the prestigious religious congregation.
