JAMMU, MAR 20: Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) urged the J&K Industries Department to clear all pending land allotments and set firm possession timelines before fresh distributions, warning that delays erode investor trust.
In a letter to the High Level Land Allotment Committee Chairman, BBIA President Lalit Mahajan called for relocating Meen Charakan estate allottees to developed sites like SIDCO Bari Brahmana based on merit and preferences. He insisted undeveloped estates gain transparent public notification first and that full premium payments without infrastructure assurances unfairly burden entrepreneurs.
“Land should only be allotted post basic development, as practiced nationwide,” Mahajan stressed, seeking legally binding timelines for any exceptions and local stakeholder inclusion on the committee for on-ground reviews to bolster J&K’s industrial growth.
