Jammu, Dec 20: Security forces have intensified counter-terrorism operations across Jammu region following credible intelligence about potential terrorist infiltration attempts from across the International Border, even as dense fog blankets the area, officials said on Saturday.
Joint teams from Police, BSF, CRPF, and Army are conducting cordon-and-search operations near the IB in Kathua, Samba, Jammu, and Rajouri districts, along with the Chatroo forest belt in Kishtwar. Specific intelligence points to suspicious movements at launch pads opposite Hiranagar, Ghagwal, Ramgarh, and Akhnoor over the past two days.
