New Delhi, October 8: Air India will offer branded travel SIM cards to passengers travelling abroad, providing them with access to voice and mobile data services during their international trips.
The airline has introduced EasyRoam, an Air India-branded travel SIM service developed in partnership with Tata Communications.
According to the airline, the service will be available in both physical SIM and eSIM formats through a dedicated Air India-branded webpage.
Passengers using the service will be able to access voice and data connectivity while travelling internationally, helping them stay connected without having to arrange a local SIM immediately after reaching their destination.
Air India and Tata Communications are both part of the Tata Group.
As part of the initial offering, the travel SIM itself will be provided free of cost, while passengers will have to pay applicable charges for international roaming packs.
The initiative is aimed at making overseas travel more convenient for Air India passengers by providing them with a connectivity option before or during their international journeys.
