Khaltsi, Sept 17: The Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) today chaired a meeting at the BDO office conference hall, Khaltsi, to review preparations for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
In his address, the AERO emphasized that strict compliance with the Election Commission’s guidelines and adherence to the prescribed schedule were crucial for ensuring the smooth conduct of the revision process. He highlighted the importance of accuracy, transparency and timely execution at every stage of the pre-revision exercise to uphold the principles of free and fair elections.
The meeting brought together officials from different departments, including Booth Level Officers and supervisory staff. Detailed deliberations were held on defined roles and responsibilities, the prompt disposal of claims and objections, and effective coordination among field teams.
Reiterating the need for vigilance, the AERO instructed officers to extend full cooperation and maintain discipline throughout the exercise.
The session concluded with officials pledging to carry out the revision in a systematic and efficient manner, reflecting a collective resolve to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.
