Kargil, Mar 18: An AN-32 aircraft has been scheduled to operate a courier service for Kargil on Wednesday, March 18, subject to favourable weather conditions, according to official information available here.
The aircraft is slated to follow a multi-leg route covering Chandigarh, Kargil, Srinagar, Jammu, and back to Chandigarh, facilitating essential air connectivity to the high-altitude region.
As per the proposed schedule, the flight will depart from Chandigarh at 0630 hours. The operation remains contingent on prevailing weather, which often dictates air movement in the Kargil sector due to its challenging terrain and climatic conditions.
The AN-32 courier service plays an important role in maintaining logistical links to Kargil, particularly in periods when surface connectivity is affected or limited.
Authorities have indicated that the final confirmation of the flight will depend on weather clearance prior to departure.
